Sewing Tutorial: Sew a wrap around scarf

Join me in my studio as I demonstrate how to sew a quick and easy wrap around scarf!

This is a super easy project, I just love the way it hangs around your neck and the press studs help to keep it nicely in place.  You could use old blankets or throws as the lining for an extra cosy scarf!

NOTE : please see the important info about press stud placement at the bottom of the blog!

In this project you only need two rectangles of fabric measuring approx 38″ x 12″ each.

Constructed just using the straight stitch this is a quick and simple project, ideal for beginners to practice or for a quick last minute present which would be welcomed as the weather turns colder!

Top tip: You will need 4 press studs for this project, info below for detailed positioning of the press studs!

IMPORTANT:  The press studs at the bottom are placed in the corners, the press studs at the top are placed 10.5″ in from each corner.  (Unfortunately I missed this vital piece of information off my video!)

Happy sewing!

As with all of my tutorials, I would love to know if you make one of these and how you get on! Please let me know in the comments!
